Role Overview
We are an existing payment gateway in Egyptian market, looking for a Business Development Manager who is a true hunter in the Egyptian payments space. Your job is simple: sign up the biggest merchants and financial players in the country and get them using our system to collect and payout local currency. You'll be selling the most reliable way to tap into the Egyptian market, whether that's helping a global brand expand into local market, or helping a local startup send instant transfers to bank accounts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payin / Local Collection
- Winning Global Brands: Close deals with big international names (SaaS, Gaming, Retail) that want to start selling in Egypt without the headache of local setup.
- Mastering the Egyptian Way to Pay: Sell our ability to accept payments through the methods Egyptians actually use—Fawry kiosks, Vodafone Cash, and Meeza cards—ensuring merchants are connected to a variety of payment methods in Egypt
- Boosting Success Rates: Work with merchants to make sure their checkout process is smooth and their payment acceptance rates are the highest in the market.
2. Sending Money Out (Payout / Instant Transfers)
- Real-Time Payouts: Sell our Instant Transfer to companies that need to pay out suppliers, drivers, or influencers in seconds, 24/7.
- Fintech-as-a-Service: Partner with other Egyptian payment apps and neobanks, acting as the engine that handles their heavy-duty payment transfers.
- Mass Disbursements: Target large companies that still use slow, manual processes to pay their vendors and move them onto our automated, instant platform.
3. Closing & Scaling
- Managing the Pipeline: Own the sales cycle from the first hello to the first live transaction.
- Volume Growth: You aren't just signing contracts; you are responsible for making sure those merchants actually start processing high volumes of money through us.
What We're Looking For
- A Street-Smart Salesperson: You've spent 5+ years in the Egypt fintech or banking world (think Paymob, Fawry, Geidea, or CIB). You know who the decision-makers are and how to get them on the phone.
- Payment specialist : You don't need a manual to explain the difference between a card and a wallet transfer. You understand how the pipes work.
- The CBE Rules: You stay on top of the latest Central Bank of Egypt rules so you can talk confidently to clients about what is and isn't allowed.
- Bilingual Closer: You can pitch a local Egyptian CEO in Arabic and then jump on a Zoom call to close a deal with a Global HQ in English.
