Our client is a globally recognized supplier of high-quality piling and drilling equipment, serving the construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure sectors worldwide. With strong roots in the UK and a growing international footprint, and is expanding its presence in the Middle East, with a particular focus on the UAE market.

We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support business growth in the UAE. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a solid understanding of construction machinery, heavy equipment, or related industrial markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and increasing brand visibility across the region.

In this role, you will act as the local representative for our client, working closely with internal teams in the UK while building strong connections with contractors, developers, plant hire companies, and engineering firms in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities for piling and drilling equipment across the UAE market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, plant hire companies, and key decision-makers within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regional clients, representing our client's products, values, and technical expertise.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow market share and brand presence in the UAE.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, product presentations, and equipment briefings as required.
  • Collaborate with the UK-based team to coordinate quotations, technical support, logistics, and after-sales requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support pricing, positioning, and product strategy.
  • Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions in the region.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline development, and forecasts, providing regular reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within construction machinery, heavy equipment, plant hire, or related industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of piling, drilling, or foundation equipment is highly advantageous.
  • Established network within the UAE construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure market is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage the full sales cycle with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working with international teams and clients across different time zones.
  • Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on long-term client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel within the UAE and wider GCC as required.
