Yellow Door Energy is looking to appoint a
Business Development Manager to support the conversion of a strong and growing commercial pipeline into
bankable, competitive, and well-structured projects within the Saudi Arabian market.
This role sits at the intersection of
business development, early-stage project development, and tender execution. While the position includes
active business development and outbound prospecting, including cold calling, the primary focus is on progressing qualified opportunities through
structured assessment, tender preparation, and internal approvals, rather than high-volume lead generation.
Given the tender-driven nature of the KSA market, this role is critical in ensuring opportunities are
technically feasible, commercially robust, risk-aligned, and competitively positioned prior to contract award.
What You'll Be Doing
You will play a hands-on role in shaping and progressing opportunities from early engagement through to tender submission and contract award. This includes:
- Assessing new opportunities, reviewing RFPs and tender documentation, and supporting early-stage project development activities
- Coordinating internal inputs across Engineering, Finance, Legal, Risk, and O&M to develop robust project concepts and proposals
- Supporting and coordinating the preparation of tender and bid submissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high presentation quality
- Participating in technical and commercial discussions with clients during pre-sales, clarification, and negotiation stages
- Engaging with EPCs, consultants, and strategic partners relevant to project development and tender activity
- Contributing to business development activities, including outbound prospecting and client engagement, to support ongoing pipeline growth
- Providing market and competitor insights related to pricing, tender structures, and solution positioning
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a commercially minded professional who understands how energy projects are
developed, structured, priced, and tendered.
You'll likely come from an
EPC, IPP, ESCO, or broader energy solutions background and be comfortable operating across both commercial and project-facing responsibilities.
You'll Bring
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 7+ years experience in business development, technical sales, project development support, or tender / bid-facing roles
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear, client-ready materials
- Experience coordinating cross-functional inputs across technical, financial, and legal teams
- Exposure to distributed solar PV, battery storage, hybrid systems, and/or energy efficiency solutions
- Confidence engaging in technical-commercial discussions with clients and partners
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred But Not Essential
- Prior experience supporting tender submissions (RFP/RFQ responses)
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment
- Proficiency in Arabic and English
- Saudi national
