Business Development Representative (BDR)

Location: Middle East (In-Region Required)

Preferred Locations: United Arab Emirates (UAE) or Qatar

Employment Type: Contract

Reports To: Business Development Manager/Principal Advisor - Business Operations

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a front-line growth role supporting Apogee's expansion across the Middle East. The role requires physical presence in the region and active engagement with regional clients, partners, and executive networks.

The BDR will identify, qualify, and advance advisory opportunities across Apogee's service portfolio, working closely with senior leadership and subject-matter experts. This role is consultative, relationship-driven, and focused on long-cycle, high-value engagements rather than transactional sales.

1. Cybersecurity & Technical Risk Solutions
  • Cybersecurity posture assessments and risk evaluations
  • Incident response and crisis support
  • Managed security services and Virtual CISO (vCISO) advisory
  • Cyber risk governance and executive-level reporting
2. Cyber & Physical Security Risk Advisory
  • Integrated cyber and physical risk assessments
  • Security program design and optimization
  • Executive protection strategy and oversight
  • Crisis preparedness, response, and resilience planning
3. Strategy, Leadership Development & Executive Advisory
  • Leadership development and executive coaching
  • Strategic risk and organizational advisory
  • Governance, decision-making, and executive workshops
4. Talent Acquisition & Executive Search
  • Senior executive and technical talent sourcing
  • Leadership placement aligned to risk, technology, and strategy needs
  • Talent advisory supporting organizational transformation
5. Executive Engagement & Insight Services
  • Executive briefings, keynote speaking, and leadership forums
  • Advisory participation in regional and global events
  • Thought leadership and executive dialogue facilitation
Key Responsibilities
Regional Market & Pipeline Development
  • Identify and engage target organizations across the Middle East, with emphasis on UAE and Qatar.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned to Apogee's service lines and strategic priorities.
  • Track regional market, regulatory, and risk trends impacting client demand.
Executive Outreach & Opportunity Qualification
  • Conduct targeted outreach to senior executives, risk leaders, HR leaders, and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand organizational challenges and advisory fit.
  • Qualify opportunities and coordinate structured handoffs to senior advisors and business development leadership.
Service Positioning & Proposal Support
  • Align client needs to relevant Apogee service offerings.
  • Support preparation of executive briefs, proposals, and tailored value narratives.
  • Assist with RFIs/RFPs and customized advisory presentations.
Ecosystem & In-Region Engagement
  • Build relationships with regional partners, intermediaries, and professional networks.
  • Represent Apogee Global RMS at regional conferences, forums, and private executive events.
  • Support development of referral pipelines and strategic partnerships.
CRM, Reporting & Intelligence Sharing
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity notes, and pipeline reporting.
  • Provide structured feedback on regional client needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • In-region residency required (UAE or Qatar strongly preferred).
  • 6-8 years of experience in business development, consulting, advisory, or professional services roles.
  • Proven experience engaging senior or executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong research, communication, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills strongly preferred.

  • Experience selling or supporting complex advisory, consulting, or risk-based services.
  • Comfort operating in long sales cycles and ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to translate complex risk, technology, and leadership issues into executive-level discussions.
  • Self-directed, disciplined, and comfortable representing the firm independently in-region.
