Job Description

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for growing the agency's client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and supporting the development of proposals and pitches. The ideal candidate has strong experience within a marketing/advertising agency, understands the full cycle of digital and offline marketing services, and can communicate the agency's value proposition confidently to clients.

Key Responsibilities1. New Business Acquisition
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across different industries.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct meetings with key decision-makers to understand their marketing needs and challenges.
2. Client Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients during the business development phase.
  • Ensure client requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally.
3. Proposal, Pitching & Presentation
  • Collaborate with the creative, social media, media buying, and account management teams to prepare proposals.
  • Lead pitch presentations, showcasing the agency's services, case studies, and strategies.
  • Customize proposals to match client objectives, industry trends, and competitor insights.
4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis
  • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends and potential business sectors.
  • Stay updated with competitors activities, pricing, and service offerings.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership to enhance agency positioning.
5. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
  • Work closely with senior management to achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Develop business growth strategies to increase agency revenue and market presence.
  • Track KPIs, conversions, and lead performance using CRM tools.
6. Internal Coordination
  • Coordinate between creative, media, content, and account teams to ensure accurate project scoping.
  • Ensure seamless handover from business development to account management once a deal is closed.
  • Support cross-functional teams with client insights and opportunity updates.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • Minimum 24 years of experience in Business Development within a Marketing/Advertising Agency.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing, digital strategy, branding, media buying, and creative services.
  • Proven track record in closing deals and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong network within relevant industries (preferred).
