Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations Assistant to support daily operations, financial planning, and administrative tasks. This role involves a blend of analytical work (financial modeling and market research), secretarial duties, and running occasional errands. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and comfortable handling both professional and practical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial plans and models, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis using tools like Excel or financial software.
- Conduct market research to support business decisions, including competitor analysis, industry trends, and opportunity identification.
- Perform secretarial and administrative duties, such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, preparing reports, and organizing files.
- Run errands as needed, such as picking up supplies, delivering documents, or handling other logistical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping, expense tracking, invoice processing, and financial record maintenance.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, events, or appointments when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Support ad-hoc projects and provide general assistance to the team or executive.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, or financial planning (e.g., using Excel for forecasts and analysis).
- Strong research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze market data effectively.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
