A new Hypermarket launching in the UAE, we are looking for an experienced buyer for the department store. Experience across multiple categories is required. Homeware, Electronics, Textiles etc.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Buyer Hypermarket. The Buyer will be responsible for managing and executing product purchasing strategies, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and conducting negotiations to secure cost-effective deals. The role includes market research and trend analysis to make informed purchasing decisions, collaborate with internal teams for inventory management, and ensure products meet quality standards and compliance requirements. The Buyer will also analyze sales trends to maintain optimal stock levels and support overall profit goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement, vendor management, and supply chain logistics
  • Skills in market research, demand forecasting, and trend analysis
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and quality compliance standards
  • Ability to analyze sales data to support purchasing decisions for optimal profitability
  • Proven experience in a retail or hypermarket buying role is an advantage
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as ERP systems and MS Excel
  • Organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
