About the role:
Are you passionate about hospitality and ready to take on a leadership role We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor for our new franchised German brand. If you have pre-opening experience, leadership skills, and a love for great coffee and food, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up the cafe, including equipment installation and layout planning.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service, hygiene, and food safety.
- Participate in menu planning, pricing, and supplier selection.
- Recruit, train, and onboard staff before the opening.
- Conduct staff training on customer service, food safety, and POS systems.
- Work with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of inventory and supplies.
- Obtain necessary licenses and permits for cafe operations.
- Organize a soft launch and trial runs to ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
- Lead, mentor, and support the cafe team.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Implement strategies to increase footfall and customer retention.
- Train staff on upselling and promotional strategies.
- Assist in budget planning and cost control measures.
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and financial reporting.
- Analyze sales data to improve profitability and efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a pre-opening rolewithin a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality business.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and cost control.
- Certification in hospitality management or food safety.
- Barista training or experience in specialty coffee service.
