Job Description

Purpose of Position

  • Ensuring the health, safety, and operational compliance of worker accommodations and facilities, typically at construction sites.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Major Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of contractor camps in accordance with SAEHC S-20 and Aramco camp inspection protocols.
  • Verify compliance with camp occupancy limits, sanitation, ventilation, lighting, and accommodation standards.
  • Issue inspection reports, non-compliance notices, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers, alarm systems, emergency exits, and evacuation plans.
  • Coordinate fire drills and ensure emergency response readiness.
  • Verify that fire safety equipment is maintained and accessible at all times.
  • Monitor food handling, storage, and preparation areas in line with HACCP standards.
  • Inspect kitchen facilities, mess halls, water storage, and waste disposal systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to communicable diseases and poor sanitation.
  • Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with project requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records, incident reports, and compliance logs.
  • Support HSE induction and awareness training for camp residents and contractors.
  • Liaise with contractors, camp bosses, and project HSE teams to close out findings.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inspection summaries for client review.
  • Ensure all documentation is audit-ready for Aramco or client inspections.

Qualification And Experience

  • Bachelor's/associate degree in: Occupational Safety & Health, Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent (OSHA/IOSH).
  • 5 years HSE experience (7 years if Associate).
  • Must pass Aramco Contractor Camp Inspector Course.
  • Familiar with GI 298.010, GI 0151.226, SAEHC-S-20.
  • English proficiency (read/write/speak).
  • SafeLife & EHSM competency. HACCP food-safety knowledge.

Skills & Qualities

  • Strong knowledge of fire safety systems and emergency response.
  • Ability to conduct detailed inspections and write clear technical reports.
  • Good communication and coordination skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Physically fit and able to perform site inspections.
