Responsibilities

Carpenter Job Description

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials
Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand tools and power tools
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans
Install framing, flooring, doors, windows, cabinets, and trim
Build frameworks such as walls, stairways, and partitions
Inspect and replace damaged structures or fixtures
Follow building codes and safety standards
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
