The Cashier is responsible for processing transactions accurately, managing payments, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves handling cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring that the checkout process is efficient, and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
C. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Process customer payments through cash, credit, and debit transactions.
Ensure accurate scanning of items and correct pricing during the checkout process.
Greet customers, answer questions, and address concerns regarding products or services.
Assist in resolving payment or transaction-related issues promptly.
Manage and reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure accuracy in counting money and providing change to customers.
Ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the system.
Generate and submit transaction reports, including daily sales summaries and cash drawer reconciliations.
D. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not required.
Strong numerical and mathematical skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Computer proficiency, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP (SAP) is an advantage.
