About the Role
As a Cashier Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the cashier team, ensuring efficient cash handling, accurate transactions, and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to manage cashier operations and maintain seamless financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise & Train Cashiers
- Monitor cashier performance, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Provide ongoing training and guidance to improve skills and efficiency.
Cash Handling & Reconciliation
- Oversee cash counting, reconciliation, and deposit processes.
- Ensure all cash drawers are balanced at the end of each shift.
Accounts Receivable Collection
- Follow up on AR collections, identify abnormal payments, and report potential risks.
- Collaborate with the business department to resolve outstanding payments.
Daily Operations Management
- Manage opening and closing procedures, register balancing, and workspace organization.
- Ensure a clean and efficient checkout area.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track and report on cashier performance, sales, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and submit reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics or cashiering.
- 1+ year in a supervisory role with cash management experience.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
Work Environment & Reporting
- The role is based in a Logistics Distribution Station with a focus on checkout operations.
- Requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced setting.
- Reports to the Cash Manager or Finance Manager.
