About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our Store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing transactions accurately while delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with luxury retail standards.
This role requires high integrity, strong numerical accuracy, and the ability to handle high-value transactions with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle billing and invoicing for gold, diamond, and precious jewelry sales.
- Accurately calculate gold rates, stone charges, making charges, discounts, and applicable taxes.
- Manage cash, credit/debit card, bank transfers, and digital payment transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation of high-value transactions and KYC compliance where applicable.
- Maintain daily cash reconciliation and submit reports to the Finance team.
- Coordinate with sales consultants for smooth checkout experience.
- Assist in maintaining billing software and POS systems.
- Address customer queries related to invoices, pricing, and payment modes.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and retail SOPs.
- Support store operations during peak hours.
Must Have
- Minimum 24 years of experience as a cashier in jewelry / luxury retail environment.
- Strong understanding of gold rate calculations and jewelry billing structure.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic MS Excel.
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in gold & diamond jewelry industry preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems used in jewelry retail.
- Knowledge of VAT billing processes.
