Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier & Relationship Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for the category
  • Conduct supplier audits to assess quality, reliability, and compliance
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules

Category Strategy & Performance

  • Develop and execute category strategy to drive growth and profitability
  • Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs
  • Identify market trends and seasonal demand patterns
  • Recommend product mix and pricing strategies

Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee inventory management and stock levels
  • Coordinate with logistics and fulfillment teams on delivery and distribution
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with product and development teams on category improvements

Market & Ecosystem Knowledge

  • Develop deep understanding of the local FNB ecosystem
  • Stay informed on competitor activity and market dynamics
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in the category

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, procurement, or supplier management
  • Strong understanding of food & beverage or FMCG supply chains
  • Proven negotiation and relationship management skills
  • UAE driving license required
  • Arabic speaker preferred (replacing existing Arabic-speaking category manager)
  • Ability to work in-person in UAE office environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
