Key Responsibilities:
Supplier & Relationship Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for the category
- Conduct supplier audits to assess quality, reliability, and compliance
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
Category Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute category strategy to drive growth and profitability
- Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs
- Identify market trends and seasonal demand patterns
- Recommend product mix and pricing strategies
Operations & Coordination
- Oversee inventory management and stock levels
- Coordinate with logistics and fulfillment teams on delivery and distribution
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
- Work closely with product and development teams on category improvements
Market & Ecosystem Knowledge
- Develop deep understanding of the local FNB ecosystem
- Stay informed on competitor activity and market dynamics
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the category
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in category management, procurement, or supplier management
- Strong understanding of food & beverage or FMCG supply chains
- Proven negotiation and relationship management skills
- UAE driving license required
- Arabic speaker preferred (replacing existing Arabic-speaking category manager)
- Ability to work in-person in UAE office environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
