Role & Responsibilities Category Marketing Manager

As a Category Marketing Manager, you will be accountable for defining and driving the category strategy, growth, and profitability across our beauty portfolio.

Category Strategy & Growth

  • Lead the category vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap.
  • Define growth drivers, segmentation, and expansion opportunities.
  • Identify white spaces, innovation priorities, and future pipeline.
  • Set and deliver category KPIs across volume, value, and margin targets.

Portfolio & Innovation Management

  • Own end-to-end category portfolio management.
  • Prioritize NPD, line extensions, and renovation initiatives in collaboration with NPD teams.
  • Approve product concepts, formulations, claims, packaging, pricing, and positioning.
  • Ensure optimal SKU mix, price ladder, and margin structure.

Brand & Marketing Leadership

  • Guide Brand Managers in developing annual brand plans aligned with category strategy.
  • Ensure consistency and synergy across brands within the category.
  • Review and approve campaigns, launches, and communication strategies.
  • Act as the category gatekeeper for brand positioning and messaging.

Commercial & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, E-commerce, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Translate category strategy into effective channel and trade execution.
  • Lead pricing, promotion, and channel strategy from a category perspective.
  • Support key customer discussions with strong category insights and data.

Performance, Budget & P&L

  • Own category-level P&L and budget allocation.
  • Track category performance, market share, and brand health.
  • Optimize marketing spend to ensure strong ROI.
  • Monitor competitor activity, consumer trends, and market dynamics.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop Brand Managers and Assistant Brand Managers.
  • Build strong category capabilities and a high-performance culture.
  • Drive alignment, accountability, and execution excellence.

Educational Background, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 57 years of experience in FMCG, beauty, or personal care.
  • Strong experience in category and brand management.
  • Proven track record managing multi-brand portfolios and P&Ls.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Strong stakeholder and agency management experience.
