Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented CCTV Operator to join our team in Jeddah, responsible for maintaining security through effective monitoring and surveillance operations.

You will proactively identify risks, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with company security protocols across all locations.

Job Overview:

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating the closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to ensure the safety and security of the premises, such as exhibits or warehouses. This role involves ensuring the functionality of surveillance cameras, monitoring operations in real-time, addressing technical issues with the technical department, identifying and recording violations or security incidents, and maintaining accurate records of related activities. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain focus while monitoring camera feeds.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor CCTV screens and footage to detect any suspicious activity or security breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with all guidelines and rules.
  • Monitor the activity of store employees and visitors through the client's CCTV system.
  • Report any abuse or misuse by employees or customers.
  • Call up and review video footage to facilitate required exhibit reviews.
  • Notify area managers of any misconduct.
  • Maintain a log of all incidents for monthly reporting. Consider any suspicious/repeated activities (potential threats).
  • Inform the IT department if any technical problems arise with CCTV cameras.
  • Work in shifts (day and night shifts).
  • Ensure store opening and closing hours are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with prayer or break times (if more than 1 employee; only once per shift if 1 employee).
  • Monitor the placement of sales staff in the showroom.
  • Monitor mobile phone usage times by showroom staff and duration of use.
  • Ensure customer service meets required standards, from greeting, etc.
  • Ensure the cashier area is ready to welcome customers and free from food/drinks/personal items/products on the counter.
  • Ensure the storeroom is organized and clean/no boxes covering cameras, etc.
  • Ensure the invoice is handed over and secured in the customer's bag with every purchase.
  • Monitor the cash drawer area to ensure it is not opened without a sale transaction or personal items are not placed beside it.
  • Monitor visits to the showroom by employees relatives or friends and their presence by the cashier.
  • Ensure compliance with policy during employee purchases at the showroom, whether conducted by the employee or under another employee's supervision.
  • Notify audit department staff in case of a security breach or incident.
  • Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to CCTV operations, privacy guidelines, and confidentiality, ensuring no footage is shown outside the company or to unauthorized individuals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Previous experience in operating CCTV systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under high pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with surveillance software and systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and privacy guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
