We are looking for a Chartering Manager for a commodity trading company based in the UAE.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 35 years experience in tanker chartering, with exposure to petroleum products (clean and/or dirty).
- Proven experience operating as a Chartering Manager or Senior Chartering Executive within a shipping, trading, or energy environment.
- Demonstrable existing client and broker network that can be leveraged immediately.
- Strong understanding of freight markets, voyage economics, and tanker chartering structures.
- Consistent track record of successful fixtures and profitable deal execution.
- High level of commercial awareness with strong negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously within a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow and manage the company's tanker and petroleum products chartering activity.
- Fix spot, short-term, and COA business for clean and/or dirty petroleum products.
- Develop and expand cargo and vessel opportunities across relevant markets.
- Maximise earnings on owned and/or controlled tonnage through effective chartering strategies.
- Leverage and grow an established client and broker book, strengthening long-term commercial relationships.
- Negotiate chartering fixtures, recaps, and commercial terms to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Actively manage market exposure, freight positioning, and commercial risk.
- Maintain and share up-to-date market intelligence and freight market insights with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure efficient voyage execution and alignment with commercial objectives.
- Contribute to the wider commercial strategy as part of a global chartering and trading platform.
