Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all financial and accounting operations within our construction business. The role requires strong expertise in project-based accounting, cost control, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily accounting operations and finance team
- Oversee project accounting, cost tracking, and budget control for construction projects
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor cash flow, forecasts, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial policies, and audit requirements
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
- Coordinate with project managers to track project costs and profitability
- Lead external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities
- Develop and improve accounting systems, policies, and internal controls
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate / construction accounting
- Auditor experience is a MUST
- Proven experience in construction companies is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and financial compliance
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus
- Experience in large-scale construction or real estate development projects
- Familiarity with financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
