Role Overview
connectalents, the leading recruitment & HRO company in MENA is currently hiring Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for one of our clients in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Our client is a well-established retail and distribution company specializing in stationery products, school supplies, office tools, printers, inks, and related wholesale and retail products.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Define and lead the overall commercial strategy aligned with business objectives and expansion plans
- Drive sustainable revenue growth across retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
- Own and manage the full commercial P&L
Retail Operations
- Oversee all retail store operations, ensuring consistent performance and customer experience
- Drive store productivity, sales optimization, and operational efficiency
- Lead expansion plans including new store openings and performance turnaround initiatives
E-Commerce
- Lead digital commerce strategy including platform optimization, customer journey, and online sales growth
- Ensure integration between online and offline channels (Omnichannel strategy)
- Monitor digital KPIs such as conversion rate, traffic, and customer acquisition
B2B Sales & Distribution
- Develop and scale B2B sales channels and distribution networks
- Strengthen key accounts and strategic partnerships
- Optimize sales structure, targets, and performance tracking
Merchandising & Pricing
- Define product mix, assortment planning, and pricing strategies
- Ensure alignment with market trends and customer demand
- Optimize margins while maintaining competitiveness
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze KPIs including revenue, margins, stock turnover, and sell-through
- Implement data-driven decision-making across all commercial functions
Leadership
- Lead and develop senior leadership across Retail, E-Commerce, and B2B
- Build a high-performance, results-driven commercial organization
- Ensure alignment, accountability, and execution across all teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Marketing on campaigns, branding, and customer acquisition strategies
- Align with Supply Chain to ensure product availability and stock optimization
Requirements
- 15-20 years of experience in Retail / Distribution
- Postgraduate Studies
- Strong background in multi-channel (Retail & E-commerce platforms & B2B)
- Experience in Retail sector is a must.
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving revenue growth
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Previous KSA market exposure is an advantage.
