Job Purpose:
To supervise and evaluate the design and construction of highway and internal road projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee road construction projects from initiation to handover, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, perform schedule variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions for delays
- Review and evaluate designs, drawings, and traffic diversion plans for road projects
- Ensure compliance with specifications, materials standards, and QA/QC procedures during all project phases
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality, safety, and progress
- Manage project risks, maintain risk registers, and implement mitigation plans
- Coordinate with internal departments, government entities, consultants, and contractors
- Lead project meetings, define communication plans, and ensure proper reporting and documentation
- Oversee project handover processes, including inspections, snag lists, and Defect Notification Period (DNP) follow-up
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and information security requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in roads/highways construction and project management
