Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Road Design / Highway Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of road and infrastructure projects. The role involves developing technical standards, reviewing design submissions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in line with international best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Define and implement technical standards and specifications for highway and road geometry design
  • Prepare scopes of work and terms of reference aligned with global best practices

Operations

  • Review and approve geometric designs for roads, highways, and related infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and organizational standards
  • Coordinate tendering processes and conduct technical evaluations of bids
  • Review and verify developer design submissions through NOC systems
  • Manage project execution, including construction and delivery phases

Product / Process Improvement

  • Apply value engineering techniques to optimize design and cost efficiency
  • Review and coordinate Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) for major developments
  • Support the development of long-term infrastructure plans and budgets
  • Maintain and enhance quality standards and continuous improvement processes

Technical & Analytical Competencies

  • Apply engineering principles and perform technical validation of designs
  • Conduct traffic analysis and transport network/route planning
  • Utilize data management tools, KPIs, and statistical analysis for decision-making
  • Support mobility-oriented urban planning initiatives
  • Oversee road and infrastructure maintenance strategies

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience (with a master's degree) or 11+ years of experience (with a bachelor's degree) in a related field
  • PMP certification (Project Management Professional) is mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of road design standards, traffic engineering, and infrastructure planning
