Job Description
- Review and manage the annual maintenance budget to ensure efficient and transparent use of resources.
- Oversee the contractor pre-qualification process and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Supervise all activities related to the Bridge Maintenance Management System (BMMS), including data verification, technical inspections, software accuracy, and analysis of budget, risk, and life-cycle cost modules.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for maintaining and upgrading road structures and facilities.
- Lead and manage a team of civil maintenance professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance maintenance quality, extend infrastructure lifespan, and reduce costs.
- Review accident reports, estimate costs, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and private sector partners to ensure project alignment and progress reporting.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for all maintenance operations.
- Oversee contractors compliance with contracts, timelines, and performance standards.
- Manage operations and system integration between Maximo and BMMS software.
- Study and recommend improvements in work methods and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Promote energy-efficient and eco-friendly practices in road structure maintenance.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for road infrastructure incidents, ensuring field presence during crises.
- Identify training needs, develop staff skills, and ensure compliance with current industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor project execution and maintenance contract performance, ensuring alignment with plans and schedules.
- Manage maintenance and rehabilitation project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
- Implement best practices and innovative techniques in road and facilities maintenance.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and sustainability regulations.
- Oversee material availability through the Virtual Store and follow up on procurement via the GRP system.
- Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans based on technical inspections.
- Promote the use of durable, recyclable, and environmentally friendly materials in all projects.
- Ensure all projects align with national and international sustainability certifications and environmental goals.
Qualifications
Master's/Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an accredited university - Professional Certifications: Obtain certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional Engineer (PE) - 8 years of working experience
