Role Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will own Farida's entire financial strategy, governance, and execution. The role is responsible for ensuring financial discipline, regulatory compliance, investor transparency, and scalable financial infrastructure as the platform grows.
The CFO will work closely with the CEO, CPTO, and Board to support fundraising, capital deployment, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute Farida's financial strategy aligned with business growth and regulatory requirements.
- Translate product and growth strategy into financial models, forecasts, and capital plans.
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership on pricing, fees, unit economics, and expansion decisions.
Financial Operations & Controls
- Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting across all entities, including platform, and trustee structures.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition for fees, commissions, rentals, resales, and distributions.
- Design and maintain strong internal controls, maker-checker processes, and audit trails.
Wallets, Ledgers & Fund Flow Oversight
- Own financial governance of virtual wallets, platform ledgers, investor ledgers, and property-level ledgers.
- Ensure full reconciliation between virtual balances and real bank accounts.
- Supervise cash flow between investors, platform, property SPVs, and custodians.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable fintech, investment, and real estate regulations.
- Work with legal, compliance officers, auditors, and custodians.
- Prepare financial documentation for regulators, trustees, and external reviewers.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Lead financial preparation for fundraising rounds, including valuation models, data rooms, and investor reporting.
- Own investor reporting cadence, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Support due diligence processes with institutional and strategic investors.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Build and maintain budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial projections.
- Track KPIs such as AUM, cash collections, outstanding installments, yield, platform revenue, and margins.
- Provide clear, actionable financial reports to management and the board.
Risk Management
- Identify financial, liquidity, credit, and operational risks.
- Define mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Ensure business continuity from a financial perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as CFO, Head of Finance, or Finance Director in fintech, financial services, or investment platforms.
- Strong understanding of digital wallets, escrow, or client fund segregation.
- Experience with regulated environments and external audits.
- Solid background in financial modeling, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Hands-on experience building financial processes from early to growth stage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in real estate investment, fractional ownership, crowdfunding, or asset-backed platforms.
- Exposure to trustee models, or custodial arrangements.
- Startup or scale-up experience in high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with MENA or cross-border regulatory contexts.
