Job Summary
The CFO is responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, governance, and performance. This role ensures sustainable growth, regulatory compliance with FRA requirements, and effective capital and risk management within Egypt's consumer finance landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure full compliance with FRA regulations, including Consumer Finance Law No. 18 of 2020.
- Oversee all financial functions: accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and reporting.
- Monitor and optimize loan portfolio performance, including yield, cost of risk, and provisioning.
- Lead funding strategy, including bank relationships, debt structuring, and capital optimization.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with IFRS and local requirements.
- Establish strong governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Act as the main point of contact with regulators, auditors, investors, and financial institutions.
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial performance, strategy, and market opportunities.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA, CFA, or ACCA strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience, with significant leadership exposure in financial services or consumer finance in Egypt.
- Strong knowledge of FRA regulations and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in financial strategy, capital management, and governance.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
