MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading fashion brand to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a pivotal phase of its evolution.

This is a highly influential leadership role within a brand led, founder driven business. The CFO will operate at the centre of the organisation, working in close partnership with the CEO and COO to shape strategy, support expansion, and build a finance function capable of supporting significant international growth. This is not a traditional finance leadership role. It is a seat at the table, with genuine authority and responsibility across the future direction of the business.

As Chief Financial Officer, you will own the strategic finance agenda while remaining closely connected to the commercial engine of the brand.

You will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and COO, supporting decision making across growth strategy, capital allocation, and organisational scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall financial strategy in support of sustainable, long term growth
• Act as a right hand partner to the CEO and COO on strategic, commercial, and operational priorities
• Build and maintain the financial infrastructure, governance, and reporting required to scale the business
• Support expansion across the UK and US through robust forecasting, planning, and performance insight
• Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, and other inorganic growth opportunities
• Oversee financial controls, risk management, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide clear, commercially grounded insight at board level and to external stakeholders
• Ensure finance is embedded as a value creating partner across the organisation

Who We're Looking For:

• A senior finance leader with strong commercial instincts and experience operating in fast moving, brand led environments.
• Significant senior finance leadership experience within consumer, fashion, retail, or brand driven businesses
• A proven track record of operating as a close partner to founders, CEOs, or executive leadership teams
• Experience managing international finance, with exposure to UK and US markets
• Involvement in acquisitions, strategic investments, or complex commercial transactions
• The credibility and confidence to influence at board level and challenge constructively
• A mindset focused on long term brand value, scalability, and enterprise growth
• Strategic, commercially sharp, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
• Someone who understands that finance is a driver of growth, not a constraint
