Chief Investment Officer (CIO) - Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai

We are seeking an experienced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the investment strategy for a growing Dubai-based investment management firm headquartered in DIFC.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the firm's investment strategy, asset allocation framework, and portfolio construction across multi-asset portfolios. The successful candidate will bring deep experience across global markets and a strong track record in strategic asset allocation and investment leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's investment strategy and asset allocation framework across all portfolios.
  • Oversee multi-asset portfolio construction, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, private markets, and other asset classes.
  • Chair or lead the Investment Committee, providing strategic guidance on market outlook, portfolio positioning, and risk management.
  • Develop and implement long-term asset allocation strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Manage and mentor the investment team, fostering a culture of disciplined investment decision-making.
  • Monitor global macroeconomic trends and translate insights into actionable portfolio strategies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including clients, board members, and senior management.
  • Ensure all investment activities comply with DIFC regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.

Candidate Profile

  • Applicants must already be based in Dubai.
  • Strong academic credentials in finance, economics, or a related discipline (CFA or equivalent preferred).
  • Extensive experience in asset allocation across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and private markets.
  • Proven track record in portfolio construction and multi-asset investment management.
  • Previous experience in a CIO, Deputy CIO, or senior portfolio management role within an asset manager, family office, sovereign wealth fund, or institutional investment platform.
  • Strong understanding of global markets, macro strategy, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing investment teams and committees.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
