We are supporting a prestigious and confidential client in appointing a hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to strengthen and scale its operational framework.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for a COO or a senior Area Operations Managerlevel professional ready to step into a broader leadership position. The COO will oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring seamless coordination across Business Development, Logistics, HR, Administration, Legal, and Regulatory functions, while working closely with the CEO to execute business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to ensure efficiency and alignment.
- Translate company strategy into actionable operational plans in coordination with the CEO.
- Establish, streamline, and continuously improve operational processes, SOPs, and workflows.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Lead regulatory coordination with UAE authorities including MOD, TDRA, MOIAT, Customs, and Free Zone Authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE laws, regulatory frameworks, quality standards, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risks proactively.
Business & Performance Management
- Oversee Business Development operations and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting structures.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
People, HR & Administration
- Oversee HR, administration, logistics, and legal operations.
- Support hiring, onboarding, organizational structure development, and team performance.
- Ensure HR practices are compliant with UAE Labour Law and best practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years of total professional experience, with at least 5 years in senior operations leadership roles (COO, Head of Operations, Operations Director, or equivalent).
- Proven experience overseeing end-to-end operations across multiple functions.
- Strong exposure to regulated industries, preferably within technology-driven environments.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience dealing with UAE regulatory bodies and government authorities.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment compliance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
