About the Role
A leading financial institution in Doha is seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to spearhead its risk management strategy. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can balance regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and strategic growth in a dynamic banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management framework.
- Oversee credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk functions.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Central Bank regulations and international standards.
- Advise the Board and Executive Management on emerging risks and mitigation strategies.
- Lead risk culture transformation across the organization.
- Collaborate with business units to align risk appetite with strategic objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in risk management within banking or financial services.
- Proven track record in executive leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage, but not mandatory.
