Job Purpose
Lead and supervise vehicle registration and licensing to ensure accurate data, legal compliance and effective coordination with judicial, traffic and security authorities. Manage traffic-system controls, documentation, legislation support and audit closure to sustain reliable, compliant licensing services
Roles and Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
Strategy
- Oversee application and development of all vehicle licensing procedures and services with competent authorities to ensure accurate vehicle data, regulatory compliance and alignment with approved laws, legislation, policies and procedures.
- Prepare and develop vehicle licensing legislation and supporting laws to regulate vehicle licensing activities in line with emerging variables and developments in the Emirate.
- Manage closure of all audit points related to transactions and violations with concerned authorities and design preventive solutions to ensure similar issues do not recur.
Operations
- Follow up and review vehicle registration and licensing transactions to verify correct data entry and compliance with laws, legislation, policies and approved procedures in the Emirate of Dubai.
- Coordinate with judicial, traffic and security authorities to establish, lift and cancel judicial restrictions on traffic files in accordance with approved regulations and decisions.
- Coordinate with traffic departments in the various emirates to process vehicle licensing transactions and resolve related issues in line with Authority requirements.
- Ensure service provider center employees use traffic systems in line with approved standards and requirements when completing licensing and registration transactions.
- Monitor and control access rights and authorities on the electronic traffic system for section employees and external entities in line with adopted policies, approved roles and segregation-of-duties requirements.
- Study vehicle registration complaints, requests, suggestions and observations received through official channels within stipulated periods and propose appropriate solutions to address root causes.
- Maintain accurate traffic files by entering GSS fines, updating legal entries and recording official memos in the Traffic System to reflect current laws and decisions.
- Coordinate with the archiving agency to electronically archive section documents and prepare periodic statistics and data reports required by the Statistics Office and other stakeholders.
Product / Process Improvement
- Analyze trends in vehicle registration complaints, audit findings and transactional issues and recommend enhancements to licensing procedures and services in coordination with competent authorities.
- Review the effectiveness of traffic system usage, access controls and documentation practices and propose process improvements that strengthen data integrity, compliance and service quality.
- Prepare section statistics and Traffic System data to identify process gaps and support decision-making on corrective actions and service improvements.
Physical Working Conditions
- Work primarily in an office environment using the Traffic System and electronic records, with occasional meetings or visits to external authorities and service-provider centers as business needs require.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, law or related field
- 2+ years in case of Master's degree (4+ Years in case of Bachelor's degree) in related field
