Job Description
Civil Engineer in Facility Management focuses on the structural health, regulatory compliance, and operational maintenance of built assets. This role is distinct from site construction, as it emphasizes long-term asset lifecycle management and adherence to strict local municipality standards
Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee Planned Preventive Maintenance for building facades, waterproofing, masonry, and structural elements.
- Manage Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, or Civil Defense approvals for fit-outs, renovations, and structural modifications.
- Source and supervise third-party specialized contractors for civil works, ensuring adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
- Lead minor capital projects (CAPEX), including office fit outs and renovations, from Bill of Quantities preparation to final handover.
- Ensure all civil maintenance activities comply with UAE HSE regulations and fire life safety codes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential structural risks, settlement issues, or cracks, and provide engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree civil engineering, attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) .
- 24 years . Most firms require at least 2 years of local UAE experience to ensure you understand Dubai Municipality or Civil Defense regulations
