Support the planning, implementation, and inspection of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and hands-on experience in construction site inspection, materials testing, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Assist in reviewing construction drawings, blueprints, and project documentation
- Monitor contractor performance and verify work progress
- Document daily activities, prepare inspection reports, and communicate findings to senior engineers
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and approved procedures
- Report and follow up on any non-conformities or issues identified during inspections
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues
- Support testing and commissioning activities as required
- Maintain up-to-date records and logs related to project inspections and compliance
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software is a plus
