Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Summary:
As a Civil Engineer in a valuation company, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections, assessing construction quality, evaluating structural components, and supporting property valuation assignments with technical expertise. You will play a key role in analyzing building conditions, estimating construction costs, and ensuring compliance with local regulations to support accurate and reliable valuation reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Inspection & Technical Assessment:
- Conduct physical inspections of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
- Assess structural integrity, construction quality, and building materials.
- Identify defects, maintenance issues, and structural concerns.
- Evaluate building condition for valuation and reporting purposes.
Construction Cost Analysis:
- Prepare construction cost estimates for new and existing developments.
- Analyze replacement cost and reinstatement value of properties.
- Support feasibility studies and development appraisals.
- Review BOQs, drawings, and technical documents for cost verification.
Valuation Support & Reporting:
- Provide technical input for valuation reports and asset assessments.
- Assist in determining depreciation, remaining economic life, and building condition ratings.
- Prepare detailed inspection notes and photographic documentation.
- Ensure reports comply with RICS / local regulatory standards (where applicable).
Regulatory Compliance & Coordination:
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations and municipality guidelines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities when required.
- Support audits and quality reviews of valuation files.
Data Analysis & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate inspection records and project documentation.
- Utilize engineering software and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Assist in improving technical evaluation processes and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 46 years of experience in construction, consultancy, or property valuation environment.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and structural systems.
- Knowledge of UAE building regulations and market practices (preferred).
- Ability to prepare cost estimates and technical assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- UAE driving license (preferred).
