Role Overview
We are seeking an accomplished and highly experiencedSenior Civil Engineerto join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience inresidential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, with a strong track record of managing projects from design coordination through construction and handover. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and strong familiarity withUAE regulations, authorities, and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering works from project inception to final handover
- Review, interpret, and approve construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution
- Supervise site activities to ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
- Ensure compliance with UAE authorities requirements (DM, DDA, Trakhees, AD Municipality, etc.)
- Monitor project progress, quality, and costs, and provide regular technical and progress reports to management
- Identify technical risks, propose solutions, and resolve on-site engineering issues efficiently
- Oversee QA/QC implementation and ensure adherence to HSE standards
- Review BOQs, assist in value engineering, and support tendering and variation evaluations
- Mentor junior engineers and site staff, providing technical guidance and leadership
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage)
- 1015 years of proven UAE experiencein civil engineering, preferably within the contracting or engineering consultancy sector
- Strong experience innew build construction, including villas, residential buildings, commercial projects, and infrastructure works
- In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, building codes, and authority approval processes
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and other engineering software is an advantage
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and sequencing
- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Valid UAE driving license preferred
- Dubai Municipality G+4 Approval (Mandatory)
- Certifications: UAESOE (Society of Engineers) membershipis an advantage
