Civil Foreman
Job Summary
The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising daily on-site construction activities and ensuring that civil works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. The role involves coordinating labor, equipment, and materials while maintaining safety and productivity on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily civil construction activities on site
- Allocate tasks to workers and subcontractors and monitor performance
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors
- Monitor material usage and report shortages or wastage
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain site discipline and enforce safety rules
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Identify and resolve on-site technical or manpower issues
- Report daily progress, delays, and incidents to the site engineer or project manager
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the site
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or relevant construction field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction works
- Strong knowledge of concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing works
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience managing labor and subcontractors
- Familiarity with construction safety standards
