Job Purpose:
Lead and manage all civil engineering activities for the assigned project, ensuring alignment with design specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. The role oversees planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of civil works while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all civil construction activities across assigned project.
- Review and validate design drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Ensure project execution is aligned with approved schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
- Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Lead progress review meetings and provide regular project status reports to senior management.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Review contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Ensure proper resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project cost and efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout all project phases.
- Manage and mentor civil engineering teams, ensuring high performance and development.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, architecture, planning) to ensure project integration
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction
