Job Description

Job Summary

The Civil QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with site teams to maintain high-quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
  • Conduct site inspections for civil works such as excavation, concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and infrastructure works.
  • Ensure materials used on site meet approved standards and specifications.
  • Witness and coordinate material testing (concrete, soil, aggregates, steel, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents including MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, checklists, and test reports.
  • Raise NCRs for non-conforming works and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain quality records and submit reports to consultants/clients as required.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, consultants, and clients on quality-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality plans, ISO standards, and contract requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external quality audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

  • Typically 37 years of experience in QA/QC for civil construction building projects.
  • High rise projects experience is preferred.
