Engineer - Structural Inspector - Steel Plant | UAE

We are looking for an experienced Structural Inspector to join our AMC team at a steel plant in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, condition assessment, reporting, and monitoring of structural steel and building structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect steel structures, buildings, platforms, pipe racks, conveyor structures, crane beams, and supports.

Identify corrosion, cracks, deformation, damaged welds, loose bolts, and other structural defects.

Conduct routine and periodic structural inspections and prepare detailed reports.

Monitor structural repairs, painting/coating, welding, bolting, and strengthening works.

Coordinate UTM/NDT inspections when required.

Maintain inspection records, defect registers, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Immediately report critical structural safety issues to the responsible engineer/management.

Ensure compliance with UAE requirements, project specifications, HSE procedures, and applicable international standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.

5+ years of experience in structural inspection, preferably in steel plants/heavy industry.

Good knowledge of structural steel, welding, bolting, corrosion, and NDT.

Ability to read structural/fabrication drawings and prepare inspection reports.

UAE industrial experience is preferred.
