Job Description
- Conduct patient nutrition assessment to determine risks and arrive at nutrition diagnosis to identify the nutrition requirements for general units and wards.
- Develop a nutrition intervention plan for patients and provide treatment recommendations, including diet therapy and education for general wards.
- Provide both bedside and outpatient education, and counsel patients and families on nutrition issues, either individually or in groups, for primary diseases.
- Prepare pamphlets, handouts, posters, and other materials for general nutrition information.
- Participate in education programs/workshops and materials or related research, as a part of continuing education.
- Create nutrition plans and track patient progress to determine if adjustments are needed.
- Ensure that the patient's follow-up appointments continue through OPD Nutrition Clinics.
- Participate in the overall nutrition process as a member of the interdisciplinary team, attending patient rounds and team meetings.
- Participate in training staff, interns, and volunteers performing related work as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Meet the CME requirements according to the IPP through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations
- Follow policies and procedures related to nutrition issues.
- Undertake responsibilities of Trainee Clinical Dietitian and Assistant Clinical Dietitian or any other additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Submit monthly reports regularly to the Head of Section /Director and any other reports whenever required upon request.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Bachelor or higher Diploma in Science in Dietetics or Health Science with a major in Nutrition
