Role Description

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a platform project for one of our current projects.

This isn't a maintenance role. We're building from scratch — data architecture, ingestion pipelines, transformation layer, governance — on Microsoft Fabric and Azure.

Here's the kind of engineer we're looking for:

Someone who reads the data before writing the pipeline.

Someone who documents decisions, not just code.

Someone who knows the difference between a model that runs and a model that's correct.

Someone who can sit in a room with a client and explain a technical trade-off in plain language.

On the technical side, you'll need solid hands-on experience with:

→ dbt Core — modelling, testing, documentation

→ Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure data stack

→ Python for data engineering (not data science)

→ Dimensional modelling and data warehouse design

→ Medallion architecture and lakehouse patterns

What matters less than years of experience:

→ Whether your past stack matches ours exactly

→ Whether you've worked on a project this size before

→ Whether your CV looks like everyone else's

What matters more:

→ How you think through a problem you haven't seen before

→ How you communicate when you're uncertain

→ How you handle data that doesn't behave the way you expected

The role is based in Dubai. The project is live and moving fast.

A short technical assessment is part of the process — practical, take-home, and designed to reflect real work rather than whiteboard puzzles.
