You will be joining an established IT department in a stable, high-growth organization that values innovation and technical excellence.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Systems Team Lead, you will be a pivotal figure in the company's cloud journey. You will design, implement, and manage a robust hybrid cloud infrastructure while ensuring high performance and security. Your key responsibilities include:
- Cloud Migration Lead: Spearheading the planning and execution of migration projects to platforms like Azure, AWS, or SharePoint with a focus on minimal operational disruption.
- Infrastructure Design: Architecting cloud-based solutions that prioritize scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Systems Administration: Managing hybrid environments, including on-premises hardware and cloud platforms, ensuring all systems are patched and compliant.
- Automation & Scripng: Leveraging PowerShell or Python to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and streamline deployment processes.
- Security & Compliance: Implementing robust access controls and encryption, while conducting regular audits to adhere to industry standards.
- Backup & Recovery: Establishing fail-safe disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
What You'll Need to Succeed
We are looking for a motivated professional with a proven track record of successful cloud migrations and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. You will need:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (Azure, AWS, or SharePoint) are highly advantageous.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Cloud or Systems Administrator, specifically within hybrid cloud environments.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or SharePoint Online, along with a strong understanding of networking and virtualization.
- Scripting Skills: Hands-on ability to use PowerShell or Python for automation and management.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues.
- Communication: The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical IT colleagues and non-technical business stakeholders.
