Cloudera Support Administrator

We are looking for a skilled Cloudera Support Administrator to manage, monitor, and support the Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining cluster stability, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the performance and availability of big data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera CDH / Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters.

Monitor cluster performance and ensure high availability of Hadoop services.

Manage Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Impala, Spark, and Kafka.

Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.

Troubleshoot and resolve system, performance, and data-related issues.

Monitor cluster health using Cloudera Manager.

Manage user access, security policies, and data governance.

Implement backup, disaster recovery, and data replication strategies.

Work closely with data engineers, developers, and infrastructure teams.

Maintain documentation of system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Provide 24/7 support when required for production environments.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Cloudera Manager and Hadoop administration.

Hands-on experience with HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark, and YARN.

Knowledge of Linux system administration.

Experience with cluster monitoring and performance tuning.

Understanding of big data architecture and distributed systems.

Experience with Kerberos security and Hadoop authentication.

Familiarity with data ingestion tools (Sqoop, Flume, Kafka).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP).

Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or scripting (Python, Bash).

Understanding of DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

58+ years of experience in Hadoop / Cloudera administration.

Cloudera certification is an added advantage.
