We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Operator with a strong background in machining complex oil and gas spare parts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machines, ensuring high precision and efficiency in production. Proficiency in Siemens NX for CNC programming and a deep understanding of cutting tools, inserts, and machining parameters are essential.
Key Responsibilities -
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and turning machines for precision machining of oil and gas components.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX based on part drawings and specifications.
- Select and install the appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures for each machining operation.
- Inspect and verify machined components to ensure dimensional accuracy using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Maintain CNC machines in top working condition perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to improve machining processes, cycle times, and tool life.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and part tolerances accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Document setup sheets, tool lists, and maintain production and quality records.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
Qualifications -
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience, preferably in the oil & gas or precision manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX programming (knowledge of G-code and M-code essential).
- Strong understanding of tooling, materials (alloys, stainless steels, Inconel, etc.), and cutting parameters.
- Familiarity such as Mill turn control Fanuc.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance, coolant systems, and tool life management.
- Team-oriented with good communication and documentation skills.
- Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical / Manufacturing / CNC Machining preferred.
Nice to have -
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines (4/5 axis).
- Familiarity with CAM simulation and verification tools.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
