Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all project milestones and ensures with team leads that they are achieved.
  • Interdisciplinary arrangement for coastal engineering design functions and modelling.
  • Manage the design and evaluation of tender proposal and/or project design.
  • Review and ensure appropriate resource and costs utilization by consultants.
  • Ensure the optimisation of all research and development activities related to coastal engineering.
  • Supervise and review the coastal engineering design deliverables within deadline and budget available.
  • Ensure that advanced tools, technologies and techniques are implemented for coastal section and plans enhancements of capabilities through internal/external training.
  • Ensure high quality of deliverables, meeting safety and environmental standards.
  • Monitor key project deliverables and participate in all project plans and facilitate to develop effective project schedules.
  • Analyse projects and develop all budgets and schedule for coastal projects.
  • Supervise and provides support to emergency activities in coastal regions.
  • Stimulate a result-oriented organizational culture by regularly sharing the division's performance and results.
  • Take ownership of own objectives agreed upon and of the objectives of the division.
  • Investigate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strategically important client and contractor relations.
  • Proactively serve and constructively respond to external client needs in order to meet business priorities
  • Show respect, flexibility and loyalty towards colleagues throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate constructively and effectively with all levels within and outside the organization orally and in writing.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly orally and in writing. Adapt oral and written communication style to the audience.
  • Manage conflict, solve problems and mediate between different interests of multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, and preferably an advanced degree in Coastal/marine Engineering and sciences.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in Coastal Engineering modelling and Design, in related industries
  • Proven leadership in technical teams and complex projects
