Role overview
Our client, a Global Cards & Payments firm, is partnering with leading banks and financial institutions in the Middle East and is looking to engage experienced Commercial Cards Product Managers and Commercial Cards Sales Managers for highimpact roles in the region.
These roles will focus on B2B and corporate/commercial card solutions (T&E, purchasing, virtual, lodge cards), working closely with clientside Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, and Payments teams to drive product innovation, portfolio growth, and sales performance across the commercial cards lifecycle.
Ideal consultants will bring handson experience across the commercial cards ecosystem, including issuing, card program design, client implementation, and usage optimization for corporate and SME segments, with strong exposure to scheme rules, data/reporting tools, and regional regulatory considerations in Middle East markets.
Key responsibilities
For Commercial Cards Product Management roles
- Design, develop, and enhance commercial card products and solutions (corporate/T&E, purchasing, virtual cards, lodge/central travel accounts) aligned with corporate client needs and bank strategy.
- Own the endtoend commercial card product lifecycle, from concept, business case, and requirements gathering through launch, commercialization, and postlaunch optimization.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to refine value propositions, identify product gaps, and define the roadmap across features, limits, controls, data, and integration capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with Technology, Operations, Implementation, Sales, Risk, Compliance, and scheme partners (Visa/Mastercard) to deliver new products, features, and integrations (e.g., expense tools, ERP/TMC connectivity, data platforms).
For Commercial Cards Sales Management roles
- Drive acquisition and profitable growth of the commercial cards portfolio by originating and closing deals with corporate, SME, and institutional clients in assigned markets.
- Build, manage, and continuously grow a robust pipeline of commercial card opportunities across sectors, including T&E, procurement, and virtual card usecases.
- Lead the endtoend sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, solutioning, pitching, proposal development, pricing/structure, negotiation, and deal closure in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product, Implementation, and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding, program setup, card issuance, and rampup of new commercial card programs.
- Monitor portfolio and sales performance against targets (spend, number of active programs, yield, fee income, crosssell) and provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.
Requirements
- 515 years of relevant experience in commercial cards product management, corporate cards sales, or related roles within banking, payments, fintech, or consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of the endtoend commercial cards ecosystem, including issuing, card program structures, transaction processing, data/reporting tools, and scheme rules (Visa/Mastercard).
- Experience supporting Middle East markets is highly preferred; GCC exposure (e.g., UAE, KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Arabic language is preferred not mandatory
- Strong analytical and commercial skills with handson experience using portfolio and client data to drive product, pricing, and sales decisions.
- Flexibility to work onsite at client locations across Middle East markets, with willingness to travel within the region as required by the engagement.
