Commercial Director

Location: 6th of October City, Giza, Egypt

Industry: Electrical Industrial Equipment (Electrical Supplies, Power Solutions, UPS, LV/MV Systems, Automation & Digital Industrial Solutions)

Executive Summary

Alfa Tech is entering a new phase of accelerated growth and commercial transformation. We are seeking a high-impact, strategic Commercial Director to architect and lead the company's full commercial agenda.

This role carries end-to-end responsibility for revenue growth, margin expansion, market positioning, and commercial execution across all customer segments (Retail, B2B, End Users, Contractors, and Projects).

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Commercial Director will play a pivotal leadership role in scaling operations, strengthening competitive advantage, and building a sustainable, high-performance commercial organization.

Role Scope & Authority

  • Full ownership of Revenue and Gross Margin performance
  • Lead and integrate Sales, Marketing, and Business Development
  • Authority over pricing strategy and commercial policies
  • Ownership of commercial input into annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Key member of executive leadership team
  • Direct reporting line to the CEO

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a clear 3-year commercial growth roadmap
  • Drive ambitious yet achievable annual revenue and market share targets
  • Redesign and optimize Go-To-Market and channel strategies
  • Identify and penetrate high-potential sectors and geographic markets
  • Strengthen brand positioning within industrial and power solution segments

2. Revenue Growth & Profitability Optimization

  • Own commercial P&L performance and margin improvement initiatives
  • Lead pricing architecture, discount structures, and value-based pricing models
  • Optimize product portfolio and mix for higher contribution margins
  • Strengthen supplier partnerships to enhance competitiveness
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Finance to improve cost efficiency and working capital performance

3. Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead a high-performance, results-oriented commercial team
  • Establish clear KPIs, dashboards, and performance management frameworks
  • Drive accountability, coaching, and succession planning
  • Develop a culture of commercial excellence and data-driven decision-making

4. Key Accounts & Strategic Partnerships

  • Strengthen relationships with major industrial clients and project stakeholders
  • Negotiate and approve high-value commercial contracts
  • Develop long-term strategic alliances with key suppliers and technology partners
  • Enhance Alfa Tech's reputation as a trusted industrial solutions partner

5. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Monitor competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, and industry trends
  • Translate insights into actionable commercial initiatives
  • Anticipate market shifts in automation, digitalization, and power solutions
  • Position the company for sustainable long-term growth

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
  • Strong background in electrical supplies, power solutions, automation, or industrial distribution
  • Demonstrated track record in scaling revenue and improving gross margins
  • Experience managing multi-channel sales environments (Retail, B2B, Projects)
  • Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of P&L management
  • Proven leadership capability in building and transforming teams
  • MBA or advanced business degree is a strong advantage
