Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Finance Manager with strong experience in the Solar and Renewable Energy sector, particularly EPC projects and Solar Lease / PPA business models. The role will be responsible for managing the full finance function while acting as a strategic business partner, supporting project finance, commercial decision-making, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop, manage, and review financial models for Solar EPC projects and PPA / Lease structures.
- Prepare project feasibility studies, financial forecasts, investment appraisals, and ROI analysis.
- Support EPC bids and proposals with pricing models, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessments.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee accounting activities and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage group and project-level financial consolidation, including SPVs.
- Ensure timely financial closing and accurate reconciliations.
Project & Corporate Finance
- Support project finance initiatives, including financial modeling, funding structures, and lender presentations.
- Liaise with banks, DFIs, and investors for project and working capital financing.
- Monitor project budgets, financial covenants, and actual costs versus forecasts.
- Provide financial input into PPA / lease agreements and commercial negotiations.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and intercompany transactions.
- Optimize working capital and oversee collections, payments, and treasury operations.
- Monitor FX exposure and recommend hedging strategies when required.
Commercial & Contract Support
- Provide financial and commercial support to contract negotiations and supplier/customer agreements.
- Review pricing structures, payment terms, guarantees, and risk allocation.
Taxation, Compliance & Governance
- Support tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance in coordination with external advisors.
- Assist in audits and regulatory reporting.
- Implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop finance and accounting team members.
- Partner with senior management to support strategic and operational decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA) is an advantage.
- 812 years of relevant finance experience, including renewable energy / solar projects.
- Strong exposure to Solar EPC, PPA / Lease models, and project finance.
- Experience in financial consolidation and multi-entity structures.
- Solid IFRS and financial reporting knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ERP experience is a plus.
