Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead and own the end-to-end commercial performance of our e-commerce business. This role is critical to driving revenue growth, margin optimization, inventory health, and supplier performance across all product categories.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial ownership, data-driven decision making, and hands-on execution within a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Financial Ownership
- Own full commercial P&L, including revenue, gross margin, and profitability targets.
- Define and execute commercial strategies aligned with business goals and cash-flow priorities.
- Monitor and optimize pricing, promotions, and margin structure across categories.
Inventory & Supply Management
- Own inventory KPIs including DOH, sell-through, aging, OOS rate, and liquidation plans.
- Balance growth with stock efficiency to minimize overstock, slow movers, and cash lock.
- Work closely with supply chain and operations to ensure optimal stock availability and flow.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Lead supplier negotiations covering cost prices, back margins, marketing contributions, SLAs, and exclusivity.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers to improve profitability and availability.
- Conduct regular vendor business reviews and performance evaluations.
Category & Merchandising Leadership
- Oversee category performance, assortment strategy, and selection expansion.
- Ensure strong on-site merchandising, visibility, and shopability across web and app.
- Drive campaign planning in collaboration with marketing and content teams.
Data, Reporting & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Track and analyze commercial KPIs, dashboards, and forecasts to drive informed decisions.
- Lead and develop the commercial and category team to deliver targets.
- Partner closely with Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Tech teams for execution excellence.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Commercial / Category / Buying roles within e-commerce.
- Proven ownership of P&L, margin, pricing, and inventory in an owned-stock model.
- Strong experience with supplier negotiations and commercial contract management.
- Solid understanding of inventory management KPIs (DOH, aging, OOS, sell-through).
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-growth environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actions.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, dashboards, and ERP systems is a plus.
