Macphie is on the lookout for an experienced Commercial Manager - UAE and Middle East, based in Dubai, to spearhead our business activities in these dynamic markets. This role will be vital in developing and executing our commercial strategy for the Middle Eastern region, focusing on building relationships with existing customers while also identifying new business opportunities.

Your comprehensive understanding of the UAE and Middle Eastern food industry will enable you to navigate the complexities of this diverse market, ensuring that we meet the needs of our clients while driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for market analysis, sales forecasting, and developing tailored proposals that align with our product offerings. Responsibilities

  • To agree and deliver a business plan that profitably grows the Machie business in the GCC region (Gulf Cooperation Council) with multiple routes to market, both existing and new
  • To manage distributors to deliver agreed business plan(s)
  • To be the face of Macphie in the GCC
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management
  • To hold distributor sales and chef teams to task to deliver the business plan
  • To be out with distributor chefs / bakers / sales people with key and prospective customers
  • To ensure that the Macphie management team are well informed through strong reporting and communications
  • Utilise Macphie resource (Technical, Category, Development, etc) in support of customer and business development
  • Positively represent Macphie within the International markets and to related Industry organisations and trade bodies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a commercial management role, ideally within the food and beverage industry
  • Strong Distributor Management experience including preparation of managing the market plan
  • Strong understanding of the UAE and Middle Eastern / GCC markets and customer dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in market analysis, forecasting, budget and P&L management
  • Experience of developing new business and sales activation in an international environment
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sales growth
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Ability to travel frequently within the UAE and the Middle East region
  • Be flexible regarding working hours due to time zone differences.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: AED 210,000 - 250,000 per annum (depending on experience)

  • Please note that this role is open only to candidates currently based in Dubai with the legal right to work in the UAE. Overseas and relocation applicants won't be considered at this stage
