Commercial Project Management
Job Purpose
The Commercial Projects Sr. Officer independently manages the end-to-end critical path for defined commercial projects, coordinating across functions, tracking risks and dependencies, and ensuring timely decision-making. This role acts as the operational project lead for assigned launches and begins to mentor junior project team members.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Critical Path Ownership
- Own the full critical path for assigned commercial projects from concept approval to go-live
- Build and maintain detailed project plans integrating all cross-functional workstreams
- Maintain the single source of truth for all project timelines, milestones, and go-live dates
- Proactively identify critical path risks and escalate to Specialist or Asst. Manager immediately
- Drive milestone adherence through structured follow-up and clear accountability frameworks
Cross-functional Delivery Coordination
- Lead cross-functional coordination across Buying, Merchandising, D&I, CRCO, Supply Chain, and Online Merch
- Chair weekly project delivery meetings; own the agenda, actions, and post-meeting follow-up
- Manage workstream dependencies; ensure upstream blockers are resolved before downstream milestones are impacted
- Maintain clear and structured communication on project status to all relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate go-live readiness checks across all functions before launch approval
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Own the risk and issue register for assigned projects; maintain real-time accuracy
- Identify and escalate risks early with impact assessments and mitigation recommendations
- Manage issue resolution; hold workstream owners accountable to agreed mitigation timelines
- Map and monitor all project dependencies; flag cross-workstream alignment gaps proactively
Governance & Decision Support
- Prepare and chair governance forums for assigned projects ensuring timely decision-making
- Build structured project status reports for senior stakeholders including risk and timeline summaries
- Ensure all governance decisions are documented and reflected in project plans immediately
- Maintain governance cadence discipline; escalate decisions that are overdue or unresolved
Team Support & Mentoring
- Mentor Commercial Projects Coordinators and Officers on tracking discipline and coordination standards
- Review junior team members tracking outputs for accuracy before distribution
- Support onboarding of new project team members on Floward's project management tools and processes

Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Operations, or related field
Experience
4–6 years in project management; commercial, retail, or e-commerce project delivery preferred
Skills
End-to-end critical path management; risk and issue frameworks; governance forum facilitation; team mentoring
